Cashier Live is a web based Point-of-Sale and retail management system. When you use Cashier Live at your store you can conduct transactions, manage your inventory, track sales, and much more.
To start using Cashier Live all you need to do is sign up for a 30-day free trial from this website. Once you've signed up you can begin adding your inventory, staff, and other information to get set up. Then just log in to Cashier Live from your store and start conducting transactions. Its that easy!

Signing up for Cashier Live only takes 30 seconds, and after that you can begin using it right away. Other POS systems for small business are complicated to implement and take weeks or months before you can begin using them, and all of that is a thing of the past with Cashier Live.
Just like any other software you may use, there are some minimum requirements for using Cashier Live. To access manager functions like inventory or reports, you can use any web browser, but we suggest that you use Internet Explorer 7 and above. In order to conduct transactions using peripherals like a receipt printer or pole display, it is required that you use Internet Explorer 7 and above. If you need to accept credit cards right away then you can sign up for a merchant account through Cashier Live. Once you are approved by our processing partner your account will immediately be able to accept credit card payments. On top of that, after you sign up with a merchant account with our partner you can continue using Cashier Live for free even after your trial period is over.
Cashier Live can be used in any retail environment, from craft shows to pharmacies. Cashier Live is best suited for independent, specialty retailers. We are constantly adding features to accommodate other markets, and if you have any ideas or suggestions on how Cashier Live can better fit your store please let us know.
When your 30-day free trial is over, you can continue using Cashier Live for free or upgrade to one of our premium accounts. To continue using Cashier Live you will need to sign up for a merchant account that our software will use to process credit cards. If you want to continue using the free version of Cashier Live, that is all you need to do! If you require premium features like FSA card processing or Multi-store then you will additionally need to select the package you would like to upgrade to and provide payment information.
Unlike other POS providers, Cashier Live doesn't require you to use hardware that we sell to you. You can use any computer to access the Cashier Live software, even one you already have. Not all Point-of-Sale peripherals like cash drawers and receipt printers are supported at this time, so to be sure that yours will work then it is suggested that you purchase peripherals through Cashier Live. If you want to provide your own peripherals you'll want to be sure that they are on our supported hardware list.
The first thing you should do if your peripherals aren't working with Cashier Live is to check and make sure that they are on our supported hardware list. While some other peripherals may work that aren't on the list, everything on the list has been tested and proven to work with our software. Also, it is required that you use Internet Explorer 7 and above to utilize peripherals. If your hardware is on our supported hardware list, you're using Internet Explorer 7+, and it still isn't working, let us know and we can try to resolve whatever issue you're having.

Yes, we are constantly adding support and testing new Point-of-Sale peripherals. If you have a particular peripheral that you'd like us to add support for let us know so we can look into it for you. We're also on the lookout for new technology that can help improve your store, and we'll let you know if we find something.
Credit Card Processing
Yes, in order to accept credit cards through Cashier Live you must have applied for your merchant account with our recommended partner. This allows us to provide high quality customer service and support, and makes it easy for you to get started with Cashier Live.
Not everyone wants to accept credit cards at their store, and while we strongly recommend that you do you can still use Cashier Live if you donít want to. Unfortunately, the free version of Cashier Live is subsidized by our credit card processing partners, so if you donít want to accept credit cards then you will have to upgrade to one of our paid plans after your 30-day free trial.

Independent pharmacies are an important member of our community, and we have added support that allows you to accept FSA cards with Cashier Live. Cashier Live offers your pharmacy a streamlined, cost-effective way of accepting FSA cards. On top of that, we will guide you through the SIGIS certification process to help you get started right away.
Support & Training
Cashier Live offers you a few different options for getting your questions and problems resolved as quickly as possible. First, there are a variety of training videos that can help you through any specific questions may have. There is also help documentation on every page that you can access by clicking on the "Help for this page" link. If you are getting an error within the software, please report it to us by clicking on the "Support" link within the software. We also offer a community where you and other Cashier Live users can discuss using the software.
Cashier Live offers easy to follow training videos that will help you and your staff learn the system. Since these videos are on the Internet they can be accessed from anywhere, even at home. Cashier Live was designed to be very easy to use, so you'll be able to quickly use the system.
If you get an error message within the Cashier Live software, please let us know right away so that we can fix the problem. To contact us, please click on the "Support" link within your Cashier Live account and describe the error you found. Your issue will be assigned to someone on the Cashier Live staff who will work to resolve the problem as fast as possible.
In order to use Cashier Live as intended, it is recommended that you use Internet Explorer 7 and above. You can use other browsers like Firefox, Safari, or Chrome to access everything else within Cashier Live like manager functions, reports, and more. We are currently investigating how to support peripheral devices with other browsers.
Cashier Live is web-based software, so you will not be able to access it without an Internet connection. Broadband connections have become very reliable, and seldom if ever go down. If your location has Internet connectivity problems, we recommend that you use a dial-up connection as a backup. We are investigating how to support offline use of Cashier Live.
Cashier Liveís innovative price model is derived in part from the wireless phone industry. With cell phones, carriers like AT&T and Verizon subsidize the cost of the phone in return for signing a wireless service contract. A first in the Point of Sale software industry, we have partnered with select Credit Card Processing companies who have agreed to subsidize the cost of Cashier Live. That way, when you sign up for a merchant account with our partner you can continue to use Cashier Live completely free.
